After six years in IT and five years building automations, processes, and systems, I have a systems-level view that almost nobody in this field brings. I see the business process and the infrastructure underneath it in the same breath, and that seam between them is exactly where most of the problems hide.
I've scoped and built complex infrastructure and workflows that bring in clients, streamline the work of entire departments, and save a lot of time and a lot of headaches. Not demos that look good in a screenshot. Systems that run in production, fail loudly when they should, and still make sense to whoever has to maintain them a year later.
